We have been taking about creating an ebook (or ecourse) of your own to sell online. You have done your research, chosen your niche and created your ebook. I am assuming you have the artwork done and are ready to go. So, where can you sell your ebook?
You actually have several options available to you.
If you have your own blog or website, you can offer your book on there. You will need a sales page, a way to take payments and you need to deliver the ebook to your customer.
Another place you can sell your ebook is Amazon Kindle. Publishing on Kindle requires following a specific process but you can outsource that to someone (eg on Fiverr) that can set that up for you. Amazon takes a cut of your sales (depending on the price) but they do the marketing and, as we all know, they are very good at that.
You can also publish on Nook (Barnes & Noble). They, like Amazon, they have their own publishing process, they take a cut of your sales and provide lots of support and advice to help you succeed.
With these two sites, once published, your book is available worldwide.
You can also sell on Kobo, Tradebit, BookBaby, Scribd, Clickbank and JVZoo to name a few.
Clickbank and JVZoo both have plenty of affiliates that can promote for you for a commission (usually 50-75%).
All this can be a bit overwhelming. I know I found that was the case and have put off creating my own ebook for a long, long time.
As I have been writing this series, I have been creating my own ebook. As I plan to put it up on JVZoo, I have been working on how I can promote it and what else I can promote at the same time.
Wait – what? Do I have to promote something else?
No, you don’t, but seeing as I will be driving all the traffic to the product myself to start with, I want to make the most of that traffic.
To do this, I am creating a sales funnel.
The Sales Funnel is the subject of my next post.
Stay tuned!
