Week 2 of the Challenge

Checking in to let you know how I am doing in .

Week 2 is creating a lead magnet, an opt-in page and a special thank you page.

I had the bare bones of a lead magnet done already so I just needed to flesh it out. That actually took longer then I thought it would. I was going in circles until I remembered a trick I learned a while ago. So, I created (on paper) my opt-in page first. I need the main points that I want to cover in the report for the page so, once I had that done, I was able to rearrange things in my report and write it very quickly.

Next was the thank you page. Here, I hit a stumbling block – VIDEO. Although not necessary, it was recommended that you add a video to your thank you page.

For several months now I have tried to make a simple video and have erased them all.

I don’t like the sound of my voice, how I look, or how my eyebrows jump all over my face when I am speaking (do I do that all the time or just in front of a camera???).

Yuk! I almost chickened out BUT, this is a challenge so…. I DID IT.

It took many tries and I still don’t like it but I put it up anyway (as I will never like it so I just have to suck it up buttercup and move on!)

Whew!

Next for the opt-in page. NO, I did not do a video for that, one is quite enough for now. I whipped that up quickly, linked it to my autoresponder and from there to my thank you page. YAY!

Taking imperfect action feels pretty darn good. A lot better that letting fear stop me.
