A Great WordPress Resource

I recently decided to “move” my blog from a subdirectory to the root of my domain.

I did a few searches and found what I thought I was looking for. I followed the steps and it seemed to work.

The next day I heard from a reader that although the blog loaded fine, none of the pages or the posts (if accessed from the sidebar) were visible.

Well poop!

I checked that I have followed the instructions – Yes. I checked again, blank pages. No error, just blank pages where posts and pages should be.

The data was all still there as I could edit the posts just fine.

Did some more research and found a “solution” of setting the permalinks to the default/plain value. While that did make the post visible, I did NOT want to use that setting.

More research.

I came upon this site:
AskWPGirl.com. Turns out the previous information I had was incomplete. I started the “move” from scratch and voila! all worked perfectly.

Thank you AskWPGirl.com!
